Bay Area hospitals staged a
successful one-day Dec. 24
strike, sending a message to
Sutter Health and two San Jose hospitals
affiliated with HCA that they intend to
step up the pressure in their ongoing
fight against steep contract concessions
that undercut patient care and nurses'
living standards.
