RNs at two Florida hospitals
win first contracts
FLORIDA -- In late March, South Florida registered nurses celebrated the ratification of first-ever collective bargaining agreements at Florida Medical Center (FMC) and Palmetto General Hospital, with terms they say will improve patient care as well as secure economic gains for nurses and their families. National Nurses Organizing Committee Florida, the state affiliate of NNU, represents about 800 RNs at these two Tenet Healthcare hospitals.
