O R G N A T I O N A L N U R S E 3 ON THE COVER: Nurses in the Washington, D.C. area held a vigil to honor and remember Alex Pretti, an ICU RN for the Veterans Health Admin- istration who was publicly executed on Jan. 24 by border patrol agents in Minneapolis, as well as many others killed by federal immigration agents. Their vigil was one of dozens that NNU RN members held around the country the week that followed, demanding that Congress stop funding ICE and move to dismantle the agency. 9
