Michigan RNs lobby for Medicaid expansion
MICHIGAN -- Michigan Nurses Association members continue to advocate for Medicaid expansion in the state, providing testimony this summer and holding an action outside the Anderson House Building in downtown Lansing as the bill moved from the Michigan Competitiveness Committee and passed in the House. Nurses pushed hard for H.B. 4714 to be voted on in
the Senate before the summer recess, but instead of doing the right thing, the Republican majority created a work group to "study" the bill over the break as Michigan citizens continue to suffer from lack of access to medical care.
