Cover 4:Final 2/8/08 2:46 PM Page 24 Don't we all deserve CheneyCare? Vice President Dick Cheney has endured four heart attacks, quadruple bypass surgery, angioplasty, an implanted defibrillator, and an emergency procedure to treat an irregular heartbeat. He is alive and well today because of the government-funded healthcare that he and his colleagues in Washington, D.C. enjoy. This healthcare does not charge prohibitive out-of-pocket costs, nor does it turn away those with pre-existing conditions or deny what some insurers might call "experimental" procedures. The HR 676 Medicare-for-All bill would provide such extensive health coverage to all Americans, including: Complete medical, dental, vision, and long-term care The elimination of co-pays, deductibles, and other hidden out-of-pocket costs The choice to select your doctor, hospital, lab, or healthcare facility The freedom to change jobs or retire without losing coverage The end of insurance company delays, interference, denials, and second-guessing Don't all Americans deserve healthcare that will treat them no matter what? Don't RNs deserve an occupation in which they can provide care to the best of their ability, rather than to the price cap determined by an HMO? Don't we all deserve CheneyCare? The answer is YES. Sign our online petition to tell our country's leaders that we all deserve the same standard of care that they enjoy. Visit www.CheneyCare.org to sign our CheneyCare petition supporting HR 676, Medicare-for-All.
