finally ratified a contract that largely preserved this benefit.

ome 250 registered nurses at the last
nonunion hospital in the San Jose area,
Tenet Healthcare's Community Hospital of Los Gatos, have joined CNA/NNOC
after a landslide vote in December to unionize.
"We are extremely pleased that Los Gatos
RNs will now have a voice in patient care and
be able to negotiate for better wages and
benefits to retain and recruit nurses," said
JoAnn Medina, an operating room RN at Los
Gatos. "We will finally join forces with our
CNA colleagues in the South Bay."
Throughout the campaign, Community
Hospital RNs talked about their desire to
match the patient and nursing standards
enjoyed by other CNA-represented hospitals
