Faculty Adrienne Pine, CNA Educator Course Description This class: 1) documents the impact of increasing socio-economic inequality worldwide on population health 2) examines current trends and analyses of human resour- ces for health emphasizing the importance of positioning RNs at strategic local, national and international levels to con- tribute to public policy development 3) presents strategies for RNs to be active agents of public sector change, reaching beyond the health sector to build multi-stakeholder alliances. Describe three ways in which structural reforms in other countries have impacted population health 2. Describe three ways in which market reforms have impacted health systems and RN patient advocacy in other countries 3. Explain how reform processes stimulate restructuring processes in the health sector 4. Propose two ways in which RNs can join with other public service workers to actively shape public sector reform in California.
