As quickly as CNA started sending volunteers RNs to the Gulf Coast
after Hurricane Katrina, we just as quickly started receiving amaz-
ing reports of care and survival back. Many volunteer nurses who
journeyed there felt compelled to document their trip as a way of
remembering and coping with not only the intense emotions their
patients were sharing with them daily, but with their own response
to what they were experiencing. What follows is an assortment of

various locations where CNA placed
