Vote CNA/NNU for Our Future. Don't Waste Your Vote. Top Reasons We Are Voting for CNA/NNU: 1 » CNA/NNU's Kaiser Division represents 19,000 Staff RNs in 86 facilities through- out California with the highest wages, best benefits, and strongest patient care protections in the nation. 2 » CNA/NNU is the most powerful, fastest growing, and largest staff RN union in the U.S. with the best contracts, the highest compensation, and strongest nursing advocacy contract provisions. 3 » CNA/NNU won the nation's very first and only Safe Staffing Ratio Law in California that saves thousands of lives each year and protects RNs from burnout and unsafe conditions. 4 » To reject the Labor Management Part- nership (LMP) that hampers the ability of RNs to advocate for our patients and lowers the standard of compensation for RNs and other healthcare workers. 5 » To retain full collective bargaining rights and not 'junior partnership' under the LMP, where unions are forced to promote Kaiser's profit driven goals and remain silent when patient care is undermined. 6 » To force Kaiser to invest its mega-profits of $12 million per day to increase staffing to adequately care for the half million more new members recruited since Obama care. 7 » To fight for parity with other CNA-repre- sented Kaiser nurses in compensation and patient advocacy protections. 8 » To support CNA/NNU's leadership in the campaign to win healthcare as a human right for all members of society, with a single standard of quality healthcare for all! 9 » To fight for retirement with dignity at the end of our careers after caring for the sick and vulnerable all our lives. 10 » CNA is leading the fight for RN and patient justice throughout the world, through our Global Nurses United (GNU) organization of RN unions around the globe. 11 » To help heal the sick and devastated in di- sasters like Typhoon Haiyan and Hurricane Katrina, through CNA/NNU's Registered Nurse Response Network (RNRN), which has helped heal victims in Haiti, the Philip- pines, New Orleans and elsewhere. 12 » To help Heal America from the effects of Wall Street greed, through CNA/NNU's Robin Hood Tax campaign. 13 » To make LAMC a place where future RNs can work with respect, dignity, and safe patient care, through the power of a CNA/ NNU contract. "We started working with CNA 12 months ago, and now we know that CNA/ NNU is the 'real deal' when it comes to patient advocacy, staff RN empower- ment, fair compensation, corporate accountability, and improving healthcare for all. We are fortunate to have this great opportunity to join CNA and we should make the most of it. A large majority already is voting CNA. Given that, we urge all of our colleagues to vote for unity with CNA/NNU, so that we can bargain with maximum power! Don't waste your vote." Denise Palmer, RN, L&D
