NNU Protects Nurses
National Nurses United is committed to protecting nurses from
workplace injury and illness. Our Health and Safety Division is focusing
on key areas that most affect nurses health and safety on the job: staff-
ing ratios, safe patient handling, workplace violence prevention, and
infectious diseases. NNU has a track record of winning strong protec-
tions in each of these areas.
Numerous studies have shown that staffing ratios
save patients' lives, improve patient outcomes and
increase the safety of nurses.
