Lapeer RNs win pay dispute,
continue fight for safe staffing
MICHIGAN -- Bart Buxton, CEO of McLaren Lapeer Regional Medical Center, is not a happy man. He's paying approximately $42,000 in back pay to 51 nurses after unilaterally cutting their wages.
Between the nurses, the community, and the media, the current pressure on Buxton is just the start of the nurses' campaign to end management's mistreatment of nurses and obtain the safe staffing they and their
patients need.
