in june, National Nurses United registered nurses con- vened in Chicago for their 2016 Staff Nurse Assembly and then segued that commitment to patient advocacy into unprecedented coalition building by hosting the People's Summit, an extraordinary gathering of more than 3,000 progressive activists, thinkers, lead- ers, students, celebrities, and organizations whose common goal is to use the momentum generated by the Bernie Sanders campaign to build a long-term, populist movement to win social, racial, econom- ic, and climate justice in the United States.
